At the heart of Silvan are our people—those who have dedicated years of their lives to helping the company grow and succeed. Our video series highlights some of our longest-serving team members, whose combined experience totals an impressive 86 years. Each video offers a personal look at the stories, contributions, and invaluable expertise these individuals bring to Silvan, showcasing the deep bonds we’ve built over six decades.
Honouring Long Service and Expertise
In the first video of our 60 Years series, we shine the spotlight on three incredible team members whose dedication has shaped Silvan’s journey:
- Tony Ciavarella – Production Manager (45 years of service): Tony’s leadership in production has been crucial to Silvan’s operational success, and his commitment to quality is second to none.
- Alida Sprague – Purchasing (22 years of service): Alida’s meticulous approach to sourcing and logistics has kept Silvan’s operations running smoothly for over two decades.
- Rod Danks – Production Team Leader (19 years of service): Rod’s passion for innovation and mentoring has made him an integral part of Silvan’s production team.
These three team members, with a combined 86 years of service, have made an extraordinary impact on our growth.

- Peter Crameri – Product Specialist, Spraying: Starting his journey with Silvan on June 30, 1980, Peter (affectionately known as Cramo) has become one of the most respected figures in the agricultural industry. His deep expertise and commitment have made him a cornerstone of Silvan’s reputation in the sector.
