The Silvan crew in September were kept busy attending to sales inquiries on their site with a display of branded machinery and farm equipment at the annual Henty Machinery Field Days in southern NSW.
Among the Silvan and Selecta branded equipment on display were several new products featured in this year’s REDDY for Spring catalogue.
Silvan account manager for southern NSW and northern Victoria Paul Payne said despite the drought and smaller crowd at this year’s event, those that attended were genuine buyers.
Mr Payne judged the field days a success for Silvan. There was a lot of inquiry on Silvan’s three-point-linkage sprayers and smaller Selecta range of sprayer and general accessory products, he said.
Silvan has been a long-time exhibitor at the field days, which has been running for 56 years and today attracts up to 60,000 visitors.
The field days are regarded as southern Australia’s single biggest agricultural event, showcasing the latest in machinery and farm equipment, outdoors and camping products, farm produce, agronomy, country lifestyle, government and health services, agribusiness and finance services.
The three-day farmer-driven, not-for-profit event this year played host to more than 850 exhibitors covering more than 1200 sites on a 105 hectare permanent site.
