Founded in 1980 Italian machinery manufacturer DCM has been supplying the world’s farming and agricultural markets with a unique range of fertiliser spreaders.
The DCM spreader range is represented locally by Silvan Australia and a key feature of the DCM range is the availability of stainless steel spreader hoppers in addition to stainless steel spreading components.
DCM have now replaced their successful CA range of spreaders with the new S24 range. The S24 continues the offering of 900, 1200, 1500 or 2000 litre capacities that are ideally suited to medium horsepower tractors. They are also available with a choice of either a painted or stainless steel hopper.
The DCM range is noted for Italian manufactured quality and precision with the S24 being capable of broadcast spreading up to 24 metres and an optional side conveyor for banded spreading. There is also optional hopper covers available for all hopper sizes.
DCM have taken the opportunity to introduce some new features into the S24 range such as a stainless steel filter grate on all models, nylon supports for the spreader shutters and between the frame and hopper. This results in a longer working life as well as a reduction of the spreader depth to bring the centre of gravity closer to tractor.
Gavin Wheatcroft, Silvan’s Spraying & Machinery General Manager said that the DCM CA range quickly found a market in coastal farming areas where the stainless steel hopper increased the spreader life and we expect the S24 range will continue that success.
